FAQ for Connected Club

Connected Club is a little different from anything you’ve ordered before.

Here’s everything you need to know before your mystery arrives.

  • Connected Club is a one-time mystery-by-mail experience for two people in two different places. Each player receives different clues and information, then you get on a phone or video call and solve the mystery together. Neither person has everything they need on their own.

  • Our first case, Leonardo & the Mystery of Flight, is designed for one adult + one child, best for ages 6–12. Younger players may need a little extra help. The adult doesn’t need to be a parent — grandparents, aunts, uncles, family friends, and other special grown-ups are all welcome.

  • Nope. You can have both mysteries mailed to the same address and hand one to your partner yourself. This works well for a parent taking one on a trip, a grandparent you’ll be visiting, or anyone who simply wants both mysteries delivered together.

    • You can choose to have both Connected Club packages sent to one address, or have us send one package directly to each recipient. Just choose the delivery option that works best for you when you order.

  • Yes. The $29.95 price includes U.S. shipping to the address or addresses you choose, whether the two packages are sent separately or together to one address. If both packages are sent to one address and you later mail one to the second recipient yourself, that additional postage is not included.

  • Don’t open the mystery case yet! Each one is sealed with instructions to wait until your partner is on the line. Once both players have theirs, choose a time to call each other and begin together.

  • Plan for about 45–60 minutes. There’s no timer, though, so you can take your time, talk, laugh, and linger over the clues as much as you want.

  • Not yet. Connected Club currently ships within the United States only. We hope to add international shipping in the future.

  • Because so much of the order is prepared especially for you, we’re unable to offer refunds once that work has been completed and the packages are ready to mail.

  • No. A regular phone call works just fine. Video can be fun, but the mystery is designed so you can solve it by talking, describing what you see, and sharing information with each other.

  • You’ll encounter a mix of visual clues, codes, observation puzzles, hands-on pieces, and information that only makes sense when you compare what each person has. The puzzles are designed to feel playful rather than like homework.

  • Yes — quietly. Each mystery is built around something real, such as history, science, nature, invention, or discovery. You’ll also encounter a new vocabulary word along the way, but there’s no quiz and no schoolwork attached..

  • Connection is built into the experience. Between clues, you’ll encounter simple questions and moments that give you something interesting to talk about while you play. The goal isn’t forced heart-to-heart conversation — it’s making it easier to laugh, share, notice things about each other, and spend a memorable hour together.

    • Absolutely. You can send one mystery directly to the person you want to play with, or have both sent to you so you can give the second one yourself. The purchaser receives the order confirmation, so if you want your partner to know something is coming, you can forward it to them.

  • Not automatically right now. The order confirmation goes to the person who placed the order. If you’d like your partner to know their mystery is coming, simply forward the confirmation or send them a quick heads-up.

  • Connected Club is designed as a one-time experience because you’ll uncover the answers as you play. The materials can certainly be kept afterward, but the mystery itself is intended to be solved once.

  • Yes. Leonardo & the Mystery of Flight is Case 01, with more Connected Club mysteries planned. You can join the email list to be the first to know when the next one arrives.

FAQ for Agency Kids

Agency Kids is a little different from a typical kids’ subscription.
Here’s what to know about the story, the missions, and how the six-month series works.

  • Agency Kids is a six-part mystery-by-mail series for ages 5–10. Each monthly letter continues an unfolding story and gives your child a real-world mission to complete along the way.

  • Agency Kids is designed for ages 5–10.

    Ages 5–7 can read the story with a grown-up and get help when needed.

    Ages 8–10 are encouraged to read, investigate, and try the mission independently first.

    The child is always the agent.

  • Agency Kids is one continuous six-part story. A new case is mailed each month for six months, and each letter builds on the one before it.

    • Monthly Mission is $11 per letter, billed monthly. You can cancel before the next mailing.

      The Full Series is $59 upfront. You receive the same six-part mystery, mailed one case at a time each month, and save $7 overall.

      Shipping is included with both options.

  • New Agency Kids missions ship on the 15th of every month.

  • Your first case will ship on the next 1st, and the rest of the series will continue monthly from there.

  • Yes. U.S. shipping is included in both the monthly and full-series prices.

  • The envelope is addressed to your child, but the story and missions are part of one shared series for all agents.

  • Yes. Agency Kids is designed so new six-part adventures can follow the first series.

  • No. Agency Kids is a six-part series.

    If you choose Monthly Mission, you’ll be billed once per month for six months, then the subscription ends automatically.

    If you purchase The Full Series, you pay once upfront and won’t be billed again.

  • Yes. You can cancel before your next shipment. To stop the next letter from being prepared and mailed, please cancel by the 12th of the month. Cancellations made after the 12th will take effect with the following month’s shipment. The subscription ends automatically after six payments.

  • Yes. You can cancel before your next shipment. To stop the next letter from being prepared and mailed, please cancel by the 12th of the month. Any letters already mailed or already prepared for the upcoming shipment will be charged at the regular $11-per-letter rate, and the remaining balance will be refunded.

  • Yes. Agency Kids can be sent directly to a child as a six-month gift experience.

    The child receives one new case each month.

  • Sometimes, but the goal is for the child to do as much as they can for themselves.

    Each case includes guidance for grown-ups so you know when to help, when to step back, and how to support the mission without taking over.

  • For ages 5–7, read the story together and let your child take the lead on the mission. Help when they need you.

    For ages 8–10, hand over the case first. Let them read, investigate, make a plan, and try it independently before stepping in.

  • Yes, but it is designed not to feel like a lesson.

    The real-world skill is built into the mystery, so the story gives your child a reason to notice it, try it, and use it for themselves.

  • The series focuses on practical independence and everyday capability—things like finding your way, making something for yourself, speaking to people, adapting when plans change, questioning information, and noticing when you can help.

  • Yes. Agency Kids is a physical, screen-free experience delivered through real mail.

  • No. The goal is to try, practice, and build confidence over time.

    Getting stuck, asking for help, and trying again are all part of the experience.

  • Yes. Agency Kids is one unfolding six-part story, so every agent begins with Case File 01 and continues in order.
